THE ARMED BOY
is an original film that was created exclusively to accompany live performances of Karl Jenkins’ modern choral work The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.

The story of the film revolves around a young boy who suffers under the merciless hands of a bully and his gang. When he finally retaliates, he learns the greater consequences of taking up arms—a gripping allegorical representation of Jenkins’ call for peace in times of war.

THE ARMED BOY was created and produced by an award-winning team of filmmakers who designed a film to correspond harmoniously with the theme and tone of each individual piece. The footage was then edited in precise synchronicity with Jenkins’ music, creating a breathtaking live aural and visual experience.

The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, when performed by an orchestra and choir, is a powerful experience. However, when combined with this emotionally-charged film, it makes for an unforgettable event.
